Doppia Pasta Italiana

Two types of pasta, brought together to make a delicious Italian treat!


Ingredients

- Extra Lean Ground Meat, 1 pound

- Whole Wheat Rotini Pasta, 4 oz.

- Mini Penne Pasta, 4 oz.

- Greek Yogurt, 1/2 cup

- Fat Free Shredded Cheese, 2 cups or 1 package

- Monte Bene Garlic Marinara Pasta Sauce, 1 cup

- Minced Garlic, 2 tsp.

- I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, 2 tbls.

- Tony Chacheres Creole Seasoning, 2 tsp.

- Onion, 1/2 medium, diced

- Chicken Broth, 1 1/2 cups

- Uncle Chris' Steak Seasoning, 4 tsp.

- Italian Seasoning, 1 tsp.

- Red Pepper Flakes, 1 tsp.


Directions

1. In medium sized pot, start water to boil. Once its at a rolling boil, add both pastas and allow them to cook through. Once completely cooked through, drain and set aside.

2. In large pot, brown ground meat with Uncle Chris' Steak Seasoning, onion, and Tony Chacheres Creole Seasoning. Once ground meat is cooked through, add the rest of the ingredients, except Greek yogurt and cheese, and mix thoroughly. Turn off burner.

3. Now, add the Greek yogurt and cheese. Stir well. Feel free to add more seasonings to gain your desired flavoring.

4. Serve & Enjoy!



Makes 8 servings. 6 freestyle points per serving.
