Cheese, Ground Beef and Pasta...now that sounds like a plan!
Ingredients
- Fiber Gourmet Pasta, 1 whole bag
- Extra Lean Ground Meat, 1 pound
- Tomato Paste, 2 Tbls.
- Onion, 1/2 to 1 cup diced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Minced Garlic, 2 Tbls.
- Dried Parsley, 2-4 Tbls. (optional)
- Worcestershire Sauce, 2 Tbls.
- Red Pepper, 1/2 tsp.
- Fat Free Mozzarella Cheese, 2 cups
Directions
1. In medium sized pot, start water and a dash of salt to boil. One at a rolling boil, add pasta and allow to cook through. Remove 2 cups of the pasta water into a secondary bowl or pot and set aside. Drain additional water from pasta and rinse pasta with cold water. Drain again and set aside. 2. In large pot or skillet add ground meat, salt, pepper, red pepper, garlic, Worcestershire Sauce and onion. Allow to cook until aromatic and onions have become soft.
3. Add in two cups of pasta water and two tablespoons of tomato paste. Mix together well. Add in cooked pasta and one cup of the shredded Mozzarella cheese. Stir to combine. 4. Add additional cheese and lightly stir. Garnish with parsley. 5. Serve & Enjoy!
